Sitges continues to expand its recharging network for electric vehicles. The last two remaining charging points of the current project have been in operation since September, on Carrer de la Devesa (next to the Moixiganga kindergarten) and on Passeig de les Botigues de Sitges, 35. These two new locations are added to those that were already available: 5 in the Can Robert car park, one on the Passeig Marítim (in front of the Club de Mar), one on C/ Samuel Barrachina (in front of the Local Police ), one on Carrer de Ramon de Dalmases (in front of Escola Maria Ossó) and one on Avinguda del Camí Pla (next to the City Council offices).
The Councilor for Ecological Transition at Sitges City Council, Carme Gasulla Blanco, stated that “the fact of having 11 points means that up to 22 vehicles can be connected to them. We are expanding the network necessary to make the transition from fossil fuel vehicles to clean energy vehicles”.
The charging points for electric vehicles are semi-fast charging, supplying 22.2KW (32A), . They are three-phase and each point has two sockets to connect TYPE-2-F. The public price rate approved by Sitges City Council is €0.31/kWh.
