-Facilitate learning, making effective and strategic use of new technologies to improve educational results and provide our students with key skills for full immersion in the academic and working world of the 21st century.
-Facilitate learning that contemplates the globality and transversality of knowledge as well as a great emphasis on learning to learn .
A determined commitment to make our students competent, critical, capable and independent citizens
-Facilitate learning for European and world citizenship through work in the institutions of the European community, as well as co-education, the peaceful and fair resolution of conflicts and solidarity and cooperation with groups, countries and cultures that are more disadvantaged.
Curriculum
Montgròs School Sant Pere de Ribes’ Curricular Project (PCC) is structured, in terms of the common curriculum , around three major areas:
* The Linguistic Area, where the curriculum is jointly designed within the framework of the integrated treatment of languages (TIL)
* The Scientific and Technological Area , where a globalizing approach is carried out between the subjects of mathematics, science (biology, physics, chemistry), technology and physical education
* The Sociological Area, where the social sciences, philosophy, visual arts, music and religion work together.
The teaching staff of these three areas define a common global task each term that is carried out in cooperative groups and follows different methodologies, always based on putting the student at the centre of learning: projects, centers of interest, simulations, problem-based learning (PBL) and environmental research.
( The definition of these methods can be consulted in the book Globalizing approach and complex thinking. An answer for understanding and intervention in reality. Educational innovation classroom. Zabala, Antoni 2007)
