Story details
The City Council periodically organises training to learn how to use the AEDs, with the participation of local police, educational centres, organisations and the general public.
In this spirit, the Gremi d’Hostaleria (Hospitality Guild) is organising the second edition of itsCurs de resposta ràpida en situacions d’emergència i DEA (Quick Response Course in emergency situations and DEA), to learn how to act in critical moments and how to use the devices. The training is aimed at hospitality professionals in Sitges and Garraf. Attendees will learn to identify and respond appropriately to medical emergencies, including cardiac arrest. The course covers basic first aid techniques, such as CPR, and the safe and effective use of AEDs, complying with health regulations. Participants will acquire practical skills and a recognised certification that will enable them to act quickly to save lives, ensuring the safety of clients and colleagues.
The course, taught by the Red Cross and financed with European funds, will take place at the Guild’s offices, in Oasis, 73, and will start next Thursday, September 5. It is completely free and will last throughout the month of September, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registrations must be made at this link .
