Sitges town council has 33 plots which are given out for a period of 4 years. Throughout the year,  applications can be made in person at the Citizen Service Office (OAC), addressed to the Social Services department, or online at the link here

The Hort dels Avis (grandparent’s vegetable plot) project has been operating for more than ten years in Sitges with great demand and successful participation. The aim of the initiative is to promote social relations between the elderly, with healthy living and crops for self-consumption. Throughout the year, agricultural plots are awarded depending on how many registrations there are and who has completed the established term.

Currently, there are 33 plotsin which vegetables can be grown, owned by the municipality and located in Santa Bárbara. Each plot has 30m2 of land for cultivation and users can make use of the plot for a period of four years. Due to high demand, new awardees are chosen from those on the waiting list in the order in which they registered.
